MEDIAINVESTIGASIMABES.CO.ID | Aifat Maybrat, MediaHabema – The Para Raider 501 Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif Para Raider 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad), a unit under the TNI HABEMA Operational Command, is conducting border security operations between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, particularly in Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua Province. On Saturday, December 7, 2024, Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad held a Social Communication (Komsos) event with the residents of Susumuk Village, Aifat District, during their territorial security patrol.
Commander of Yonif 501 Kostrad, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Yakhya Wisnu Arianto, emphasized the importance of fostering strong ties with the local communities near their posts. Acting on this directive, the TNI soldiers engaged with the children of Susumuk by organizing a music competition for elementary and junior high school students, combining security patrols with community outreach.
The event, conducted with security measures in place, fostered harmonious interactions between the soldiers and Susumuk residents. The music competition was a resounding success, providing a platform for local children to showcase their talents. One of the participants, Leo Tabuni, shared his joy: “Thank you, Commander 501. We’re so happy to display our talents in this competition. God bless you.”
Following the report on the activity, Brigadier General TNI Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA, expressed his appreciation: “The initiative of Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad to engage with the children of Susumuk through Social Communication activities demonstrates the TNI’s commitment to inclusive interaction with all community members in the area of operations.
